Ashanti sat down with Boys & Girls Clubs of America in June 2011 while participating in a PSA shoot with 20 other prestigious Boys & Girls Club alumni.
In the video she explains that her very first public appearance was at the Boys and Girls Club talent show in her hometown. She performed inside the Club’s Gym on a homemade stage.
